IKEAGuessr is a free browser game. We built it to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts and no ads. The only third-party service we use is Google Analytics, to count visits.

What stays in your browser

To remember your game, IKEAGuessr saves a few items in your browser's local storage:

your guesses for the current daily or unlimited round,
your stats (games played, wins, streaks and guess distribution),
your light or dark theme choice, if you picked one.

This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Sharing your score

When you press Share, the result text goes to your device's share menu or clipboard. Where it goes after that is up to you. Nothing is sent to us.

Server logs

Like any website, the servers that deliver IKEAGuessr receive standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Our hosting provider uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify you, build profiles or track you across sites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. It sets cookies (such as _ga) and sends Google information like the pages you view, your approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We use this only as aggregate statistics; we do not use it for advertising and do not send your game guesses or stats. Google processes this data under its Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.

Third parties

All game files and product images are served from this website. Apart from Google Analytics, we do not load third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Links to other sites, such as Costcodle, follow those sites' own privacy policies.

Children

IKEAGuessr is a general audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Your rights

We do not store personal data about you ourselves. Analytics data is held by Google and kept for its default retention period. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may still contact us with any privacy question, and we will reply.

Changes

If we add anything that changes this picture, such as analytics, ads or accounts, we will update this page and the date above before it goes live.
